Band Camp begins on Sunday, August 15th, and runs through Friday, August 20th.  As details and updates are released, they will be posted here for reference.

Band Camp will take place at Lakeview Junior High, 701 Plainfield Road in Downers Grove (MAP).

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • Sunday Check-In: Students and a parent must check in with Mrs. Alene Ackerman upon arrival to make sure all necessary forms and payments have been received.  Download the Medical Form here
  • Friday Dinner Guest Count Requested: As a reminder, please respond to let us know how many guests will attend Friday's Family Picnic so we can be sure to plan for enough food for all.  Please email Carol Ann Fatora at: Exec-Social@MustangBandBoosters.com
  • School Registration Pick-Up is Monday; students do not need to accompany parents to the pick-up.
  • Water will be provided in large drink coolers throughout the week.  Students are encouraged to bring their own reusable plastic water bottles to refill as needed in order to keep hydrated.  Snacks are OK as well.
  • Students should eat a good breakfast, and bring their own sack lunch each day.  The Boosters will provide dinner for the whole week.
  • Easy-up tents, chairs, etc. are ok to bring. It isn't supposed to be as hot as this week, but it is nice to have some shade to escape to during their breaks. All valuables will be locked in the school overnight or taken home, but the tents, chairs and things will be ok to leave out.
  • Thursday night is Senior Night -- the entire band will remain at Lakeview until 9:30-10:00, so they do not need to picked up until then.
  • If you ordered a show shirt, Mrs. Kristen Meek will be on hand Friday night to distribute them; please check in with her near the tent. She will also have some of our other band merchandise for sale so don't forget your checkbook.
  • On Saturday morning, we will need volunteers to disassemble the tents and the tower, so please consider giving of some of your time to assist us. Mr. Wally Olewinski will be on point for that, so please respond when he asks.
