The DGS Marching Mustangs have been invited to perform at the "Salute the Armed Forces Festival" being held on August 13th, 14th and 15th at the Hawthorne Racecourse.
The Marching Mustangs will be part of the Opening Ceremony on Friday, August 13th -- Download the Itinerary Here. Once we have performed, the band will have the opportunity to change into street clothes and enjoy the rest of the Festival. All families are encouraged to attend to support the Armed Forces, as well as our Marching Mustangs.
What a great way to show our support to the Armed Forces and be able to perform in front of thousands of people. Transportation will be provided to and from the Festival. As more details become available, they will be posted here and circulated to the Booster email lists.
July 24th Update: The band will perform on Friday, August 13th as part of the Opening Ceremony. At the moment, the band's performance time hasn't yet been finalized. The organizers are looking to start the event somewhere around 4:00pm so that it gives people an opportunity to get to the Festival.
Also, this is a mandatory performance. Band members who already have conflicting plans are expected to submit an Excused Absence Form so that the Directors will know who will be missing.
